Venue and Catering

Venue

Your wedding venue will set the mood so make sure to consider your theme when deciding on a venue. Whether you're getting married in your local church or you decide to do a destination wedding, know that this is the first important decision you'll have to make as the wedding date (which affects all your other suppliers' deadlines) depends on your chosen venue's availability. Here are some Venue and Catering suppliers you may want to check out (hit 2 birds with one stone, why not?)

  1. Ibarra's Party Venue and Catering
  2. Yolach's Venue and Catering
  3. Tamayo's Catering
  4. K by Cunanan
  5. Juan Carlo
  6. Hizon's Catering

Getting your menu ready

In choosing your menu, your top priority should be the type of food your guests will love. Well, it's still your day so obviously you get to decide what to eat on your big day but think about what your grandparents can still chew, what your Titas of Manila and their slew of amigas can "tolerate" (cause trust us when we say you'll hear from them) and what your cousins and friends will take selfies with. If you're having a hard time deciding, here are some ideas to draw inspiration from:

  1. Your theme (if you happen to have a distinct cultural theme like Filipiñana, Bri-ish or Moroccan, there you have it)
  2. Throw in some of your favorite dishes (that normal people would enjoy)
  3. Okay, even if it's not normal, introduce your guests to your weirdly "creative" dishes too

I'm running out of words but I need to keep this going so here's a quote by C.S. Lewis disguised as a paragraph: “To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable.”

Hi, TWP. I was wondering if you can post something about bridal registry? What's the best option out there? Thanks!
